Optica Capital is a private company based in Perth, Australia. We work closely with our US strategic partners to design, launch and manage innovative, themed Indexes to support Exchange Traded Funds (ETF); initially on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Index will represent a selection of companies that seek growth opportunities at the intersection of:

• Minerals published on the approved US, Canadian, Australian and European Union government lists of critical minerals

• Companies working with these critical rare earths and minerals in the value chain that meet our selection criteria

These companies typically benefit from growth due to:

• Favourable supply vs demand imbalances (e.g. rare earths needed for permanent magnets for electric vehicle motors and wind turbines, takes up to 10 years for new supply)

• Upward trend cycles - where the critical minerals are needed most to meet demand (e.g. escalating manufacture and sales of electric vehicles, the policy shifts from fossil fuels to green renewable energy, the need for strategic supply chains due to dominance by overseas suppliers)

• Satisfying key components in the value chain - anywhere from mineral extraction, refining and processing through to manufacturing to meet consumer and industrial needs for renewable energy (electric vehicles, wind turbines, solar panels), communication (satellites, smartphones), computer technology, medical (MRI machines), aerospace and defence (jets, missiles, submarines)
